Year Round and Seasonal

JOB OVERVIEW:  

Gearhart Market is seeking part-time (20-30 hours a week) Associates for their store. These Associates will be responsible for maintaining a high-quality experience for customers while conducting sales and customer service. They will also be responsible for maintaining the store and inventory area in a clean and safe manner. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

Customer service: 

-Maintain a cordial and friendly relationship with our customer base, and advise as to any inquiries they may have.

-Provide recommendations and information about our products.

-Anticipate and respond to customer needs effectively.

Sales: 

-Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point of sale system. 

-Assist in maintaining customer loyalty programs 

-Inform customers of seasonal promotions or products 

Inventory Management:

- Work with the General Manager to ensure that products are readily available and properly stocked.

Growler Station Operations: 

-Fulfill customer’s growler orders

-Maintain a clean and organized environment behind the bar

-Ensure that growler station equipment is properly maintained and sanitized

-Maintain current knowledge of rotating menu of offerings on tap

Cleaning and Maintenance: 

-Maintain a clean and organized store environment not limited to but including: 

      • Aisles

      • Common Areas

      • Growler Stations

      • Employee Restrooms

      • Inventory Area

Compliance:

-Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and regulations. 

-Ensure compliance with alcohol laws and regulations when handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Qualifications: 

-Previous retail or hospitality experience preferred

-Attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

-All employees must be able to constantly lift or carry up to 10 lbs., frequently lift or carry 11-20 lbs., and occasionally lift or carry 21-50 lbs.

- A passion for the North Oregon coast community and local food culture is encouraged!
